 The course will consist of an introduction to the origin, history, philosophy, theology, and practices of the major non-Christian religions such as Vedic religion, Hinduism, Buddhism, Secular Humanism, Islam, New Age Movement, and pseudo-Christian cults such as the Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormonism. Each belief system will be described and evaluated with a view to equip the student for effective evangelism.

This course will explore the special nature and unique character of the Bible. Emphasis will be placed on enabling the student to understand the process God used to reveal the Scriptures and pass down the 66 books of the Bible to us in their present form. Topics such as Bible and culture, inspiration, canonization, transmission, translation, paleography, perspectives, archaeology, and the historical reliability of the Bible will be addressed.
 Examines critically the book of Job from the perspectives of its meaning in its ancient context and its continuing significance for the modern community of faith. Addresses thematic and structural issues and explores parallels with other ancient Near Eastern representatives of theodicy literature.
Bible Study Objective: This course is a verse?by?verse and thematic study through the Book of Acts. We will look at the growth of the early church, church structure, role of spiritual gifts in cooperation with the Holy Spirit. We will also study aspects of early church missions (strategy vs. power ministries), church planting, discipleship, racism vs. ethnocentrism, E1, E2, E3 evangelism, leadership roles, decision making and the tension between in?reach and out?reach.

A study of Paul?s theology against his Jewish and Hellenistic background and in the light of his life and missionary situations. The course concentrates on a systematic exposition of christology, soteriology, eschatology and other leading themes.
Yet Paul?s relationship to Jesus-tradition and the pre-Pauline tradition, his use of Scripture, and his response to the needs in his mission fields are also examined in order to delineate the development of his theology and to understand his method of theologizing.

Hermeneutics is the science of interpreting literature. This course is designed to introduce the student to basic principles for Bible study and Biblical interpretation, focusing on a literal, historical-cultural, grammatical approach to the Scriptures. The student will be exposed to the various genres of the Bible while practicing principles for proper exegesis of the Scriptures while learning to suspend presuppositions, biases and experiences that effect ones interpretative methodology.

This course explores the dynamics involved when people from different cultures interact with one another, the changes they undergo and what facilitates and hinders attachment. It is designed for students with no previous psychological or neurobiological training to improve their understanding and skills in relating with people from other cultures.
