History & Vision
Vision:
- Is to see this church grow in quantity through evangelism and grow in quality by nurturing healthy Christians in small groups where community, worship and mission exist (Acts 2:42-47).
- Is to see the measurable spiritual and social transformation of our city as we work in cooperation with other city leaders as far as the "Law of Christ" permits (Matthew 28:18-20,Jeremiah 29:4-7, 1 Corinthians 9:21).
- Is to see the planting of new independent churches that carry our doctrinal and missional DNA and a high priority on ministry contextualization for the cultures they find in their communities (1 Corinthians 9:20-22).
History:
- On April 3rd, 2010 Impact Miami Church (Formerly Oasis Miami Church) was sent out by Oasis Church South Florida to start a new church in Miami with the leadership of Pastor Jack and Jhael Hakimian. As an autonomous new mission church we were sponsored by Pastor Guy Melton and Oasis Church South Florida, church planting coach Erik Cummings of New Life Baptist Church of Carol City, Miami Baptist Association and the Florida Baptist Convention.
- The official announcement of the new church plant was made at the historic worship gathering of Oasis Church South Florida and all it's campuses on January 10th, 2010. That day more then 2,000 people gathered at Hollywood Community Church in Hollywood, Florida to worship God, listen to the vision of Pastor Guy Melton and his encouragement to the church planting team. He encouraged them to look forward to all the "Amazing Things God Would Do" as they crossed the "Jordan River" by faith. Below is the video and banner that was displayed promoting the new mission church. It serves as a reminder of God's goodness and favor in helping Impact Miami Church mobilize to reach the ripened harvest. Our prayer: "May God through this church bring thousand of souls to Christ in the years to come and may His elect find and fulfill their individual purposes on earth for His Glory and Kingdom, in Jesus Name. Amen!
